ABOUT
Jessica Stanley is a brass specialist (trombone, sousaphone, euphonium, tuba) composer, arranger, band leader and educator based in NYC. She has performed in jazz ensembles, brass bands, and multiple different cultural groups.

Jessica grew up interested in music to the surprise of her non-musical family. Jessica's band directors were her mentors which guided and inspired her to play music as a career. She graduated with her Bachelors of Science in Music Education with a concentration on Euphonium, and her Masters of Arts in Jazz Performance with a concentration on Trombone.

As a band leader, Jessica leads "Flora's Fanfare", a NYC style brass band featuring pop arrangements and her original compositions that regularly performs in the Tri-State area. She also leads brass duo "RhinoPuff", a 2022 Chamber Music America Ensemble Forward grant winning project formed to push the envelope of tuba-euphonium music.

Jessica has a passion for music education and believes in the power of music in schools. As a K-12 certified educator in CT and NY since 2017, she currently leads a beginning band instrumental music program to over 200 students. She has taught guitar, ukulele, keyboard, modern band to students K-8. She has led masterclasses on Euphonium for the CT Southern Regionals Festival at Western Connecticut State University.
